The aging performance of auto shock absorber springs

Dec 07, 2021

1. The ride feels different

After the damping spring is aging, when we are riding or driving a vehicle, we can clearly feel that the bumpy feeling of the car is very strong, not as comfortable as the original one. From this point, it can be judged that the shock-absorbing spring has aged.

2. Abnormal temperature

Under normal circumstances, after a vehicle is driving on a rough road, we can touch the outer shell of the car's shock absorber with our hands to feel the temperature of the shock absorber. Under normal circumstances, the shock absorber temperature after driving will be warm to prove that it has worked. If it is broken, the temperature of the shock absorber is cold.

3. The body shakes

When the vehicle is stopped, press a corner of the vehicle and then release it to observe the shaking of the vehicle. If it becomes a stable state soon after the rebound, it means that the effect of the shock absorber is still very good. If the vehicle swayed for several times before stopping after rebounding, it means that the shock absorber has been broken or the spring is aging.

4. Oil leakage of shock absorber

Generally, the shock absorber is in a relatively dry state after use. If the shock absorber is broken, there will be oil leakage, that is, the hydraulic oil inside the shock absorber overflows from the piston rod.
