Shock absorber structure

Jan 26, 2021

The shock absorber is composed of a piston valve and a bottom valve that generate damping force, a cylinder body and a storage tube that store oil and gas (air), a connecting rod that transmits the movement of the car body, and an oil seal that prevents internal gas or oil leakage.

Moreover, based on the piston valve, the upper part is called the upper piston chamber, and the lower part is called the lower piston chamber. The space between the storage tube and the cylinder body is called the storage chamber. The upper and lower chambers of the piston are generally filled with oil, the lower layer of the storage chamber is filled with oil, and the upper layer is filled with air or gas (nitrogen).
